Parent

A course for building
CONFIDENCE!
For parents of feisty and fun,
lairy and loveable children aged 4-11 years!
As a parent, you want what’s
best for you and your child, even though things may be difficult
at times. We all need encouragement and support from time
to time, as well as new ideas to develop the ones we may already
find helpful.
The course is enjoyable and fun with
practical, down to earth advice and suggestions on behaviour,
play, safety and even on how to take some much-needed time
out for you. The course runs over 6 sessions
covering topics such as:
 |
'The perfect parent'–
fact or fiction? |
 |
What makes children behave the
way they do? |
 |
How to cope with difficult behaviour |
 |
The importance of play, safety
and getting to know your child |
 |
How to handle more serious behaviour |
 |
Looking after yourself –
'Time for you' |

near you, or to set up a course with your group, contact Joyce Wilkinson on 02392 818547
We can also help to set up support
groups following the 6 sessions, as we find many parents build
good relationships on the course and are keen to continue
sharing and supporting each other.
Some of the many comments we receive
from parents who have attended the course and found it useful:
"Most of the sessions have been
good and opened my eyes to a lot of things, now I know how
to put them into practice"
"It gives me more confidence
about the future for my children and it has brought us together"
"I've found that sharing doesn't
make me
feel an odd person"
