Primary Mental Health Worker

Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service
The Primary Mental Health Worker (PMHW) provides help and support for pupils who are experiencing emotional difficulties.  Through working with children on a 1-1 basis the aim is to enhance their self confidence and emotional stability. 

If appropriate the PMHW works in partnership with the school and the child's family to achieve a positive outcome. 

The Primary Mental Health Worker works with entire families, therefore, support is also given to parents suffering from their own mental health problems.
