FAQ
More TO Life?
Isn't there more to life than this?
Things are great! Who needs religion? Life is so hard, what's it all for? Why does everything bad happen to me? I'm doing alright, so why am I not happy? Such worrying times - what's wrong with the world? Who can I turn to? Does God really love and care for me?
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?
Chances are that you have. And chances are that you have never received a satisfactory answer! Please, just take a moment and read on. It won't take long but it just might be the best spent moment of your life...
You are born, you live, and you die.
Most of us know that much! But did you know that even before you were born, the true God knew everything about you? This truth was revealed to Jeremiah (one of God's prophets) and you can read about it in the Bible at Jer 1:5.
God knows everything about you
God made you in the womb (Isa 49:5). He is your Father! And even though it may not feel like it, He loves you and has been with you ever since He created you. He knows the depths of your heart and your every thought (Rom 8:27, Jer 11:20). And He will be with you to your final breath - hoping all the time that you will love Him back, just as He has loved you.
OK, so you've heard the "God loves you" thing before.
But has anyone ever shown His love to you? Well, here's another bible truth from Col 1:13-16... God has a son. His name is Jesus. And it was through Jesus that everything you can see was made! And if you have ever made anything, you will know how fond you can be of what you've created. The centre of Jesus' creation was man. But His fondness extends to unbounded love. In Jesus' own words "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (Joh15:13). Jesus did just that for all of us.
Christians come from all walks of life
Rich, poor, skilled, unskilled, from people to presidents. God is impartial. A Christian strives to live a life based on faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that He is the son of the only true living God.
It's the decision that YOU make
about Jesus in this life that determines what happens to YOU in the next. Do you want the GOOD NEWS or the BAD NEWS?
The BAD NEWS...
Life has been spoiled. It was never God's intention that you live in a world where there is sickness and death. He never intended for you to be surrounded by people who do not love you, who may be violent, abusive, envious, arrogant or proud. God's people are none of these things (1Cor 13:1-13). But long ago, before the earth was formed, God created an angel called Lucifer. By free will, Lucifer stood in opposition to God. He thought he could be like God (Isa 14:12-14). He deceived the very first man and woman (Adam and Eve) into defiance of God (Gen 3:1-24) by making promises contrary to God's word. God created perfection. Lucifer (thereafter known as Satan, the devil) ruined it.
True perfection (which can only ever be from God) stands forever. Imperfection always perishes. Adam and Eves' defiance of God introduced imperfection (known as sin) into creation, and we are suffering the consequences. Satan is still very much active in this world. He knows he cannot defeat God but, using all means available to him, he is determined to take as many of mankind with him as possible.
The GOOD NEWS...
God is perfect in wisdom, perfect in justice, and is perfect love. If perfection is lost, He cannot accept anything but perfection in its place. Jesus was God in human form. He was perfect. He came to give His life in atonement for that which was lost at the beginning - a perfect life for perfect life lost.
Your God has made provision for you to get to know his son. Think hard. How many times in your life have you heard about Him? Doubtless countless times! Even if you can't think of a single time - you are reading about Him right now! On every occasion your Heavenly Father has been calling you. All you have to do is turn to His son. If you do, you will know true happiness in your life as you take your stand against Satan as one of God's people. You will know true love both from God and from your Christian brothers and sisters, and you will receive the gift of joy and know the very presence of God giving you peace now and eternal life beyond physical death.
What other good news could any human being want when they know that God loves them!!!
ANSWERS!
There certainly can be more to life as you know it! You may choose to continue your life just as you did before you read this - especially if you think you're doing fine and have everything you want! But ultimately you will have gained nothing, and may lose even more - OR - You can start on the road to becoming a Christian.
Life can be hard. And don't be mislead - Christians are not exempt! But the Christian can call on God for strength at all times.
And yes, your life can be for nothing. OR it can glorify God and bring you untold blessings.
No Joy? Don't know why? You do now! No man can live a life apart from God and be truly happy. This wasn't how it was in the beginning, and isn't how it's meant to be now. The results of living apart from Him can be seen all around us.
Turn to Jesus now. He's waiting just for you.
If you are sincere pray this prayer now to Him.
"Lord Jesus Christ, I need You. I admit that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. I am truly sorry for my sins. Thank You for dying for me on the cross taking my punishment. I accept Your free gift of eternal life and I now invite You into my life. Please forgive me all my sin and be my Lord and Saviour. With Your help I turn from everything I know to be wrong and follow You. Please make me the person You want me to be". Amen Please let us know if you prayed this prayer and/or if you would like to receive any further information on Christianity or living the Christian life.
