Useful
questionnaires worth finding out about:
Parenting Daily Hassles
Questionnaire:
This easy to administer questionnaire for parents contains statements
describing events that routinely occur in families with young
children. These are events which sometimes make life hard. The
parent circles how often each event has happened over the last
6 months, and then circles how much of a "hassle"
it has been.
The PDHQ is available in the "Framework
for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families",
published by the Department of Health (available from The
Stationary Office, Tel: 0870 600 5522).
Eyberg Child Behaviour
Inventory:
This straight-forward questionnaire contains a series of phrases
that describe a child's behaviour. The parent/professional
circles the number representing how often this behaviour occurs
with the child, and then circles "yes" or "no"
to indicate whether this has been a problem.
